Challenge based learning is a different way to get students involved in their own learning. It gives a new twist to make children use their brain to solve problems while learning important material for the classroom!
In my project my team and I made a prezi project about saving water. My group looked into all the ways that water is used, how we can use less water, and new water technology. We learned all about water uses and conservation techniques. When we presented our project to the class, we developed a way that everyone could get involved in our research. At the end of the lesson, we challenged them to implant one water saving technique into their everyday life. This could be anything from turning the water off while they are brushing their teeth to installing a new shower head that uses less water.
I believe this would be very neat to use in a classroom. It would give students a chance to show what they believe is important and explain to a class why! This could be in a classroom or in a whole school system. I would love to see many school teachers use this as a project in their classrooms.
